Support for Montana

To my precious family, for you are all family in my eyes,

I cannot tell you how thankful that I am to know each and every one of you. The last few years have taught me how blessed I am that so many wonderful people have been placed in my life.

Here I have a chance to share with you where my life has been and the new direction it will be moving soon. Many of you know that I have been out here in the mountains of western North Carolina for the past five years now. I came out here six summers ago to work as a counselor at a christian summer camp called Camp Lurecrest. My expectations were to come and spend a summer here and then head back to California, but God had different plans. Upon arriving here the Lord Jesus Christ captured my attention with His mercy and grace. The last five years I have spent resting and meditating on what He has done for me. I was also able to finish my undergraduate education by receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University here in North Carolina. After graduating the director of Camp Lurecrest invited me to come and work as an “Intern” for a commitment of two years. My commitment here at Lurecrest has come to a close and it is time again for me to move on and do the next thing. I have been so blessed here in North Carolina over the last few years as I have made many wonderful friends and literally been adopted as family by so many people.

I am now being led to Montana, to the YWAM (Youth with a Mission) School of Biblical Studies (SBS). It is located just south of Glacier National Park in Lakeside, Montana. The school begins the 17th of September and will last 9 months, ending the 30th of June. Essentially it is a biblical content school in which I will be intensively studying the Holy Bible. The program requires full-time attention and allows no time to be working a job on the side, meaning that I will be unable to make the money to pay for the school myself. I have been working diligently over the last few years saving up money to do this school, and my parents have pledged to help as they can. After seeing God’s faithfulness to me so much over the recent years I have no reason to doubt that He can provide my financial needs in this endeavor, and I wanted to ask you, my family, if you would help me in any way you could.

I am so excited to have the chance to spend a year solely focused on God’s word, that I would know who He is and see who He says that I am and what He puts value on. The thought that I can share my life with you, whom I so deeply care about and miss, excites me also. I wanted to invite all of you to support me; whether with finances, prayer, or simply by your thoughts and encouragement. My hope is that I could make some means for you to see more of what is going on in my life. I plan on staying in touch with all of you this year via email, letters, and a “blog” website that I have made and will update weekly on the internet.

My financial needs are the last two semester’s tuition of $4500 and help with health insurance coverage of about $110 a month. Any financial support that you could provide would be such a blessing, whether a one time donation or a pledge for monthly support.

Thank you again for how much you have all loved me over the years, I am so excited to share with you what I am learning at this school. Please send me your email addresses so that I can keep you up to date on how my time in Montana is going. Also please stay in touch with me through my blog for it will have all of this information on how to stay in touch with me and updates and pictures every week. You can send financial support to my Mother’s address in California and she will relay it to me in Montana. I would love to receive mail correspondence at the school also.
