My friends Madeline and Luke

Here in North Carolina I have been very blessed to be adopted into the Lurecrest family. Jerry and Charlotte Martin treat me as a son as well as many other families, one of the fringe benefits being that I have new neices and nephews.

Madeline is the Martin's eldest grandchild, she's almost 5 years old, and is fiesty,... she has some serious issues but we love her nonetheless. She was born around the time I arrived here in North Carolina so she has grown up seeing me every month or so like clockwork, we've had the chance to swim together during the summer and I am "her best play-friend" as of this last fall... it changes periodically so we'll see how long that lasts.

Luke is the Martin's first grandson... he's seriously the cutest little boy you'll ever meet, he speaks with a lisp and is really stand-offish to most people. Usually he takes a good half hour to warm up to anybody... but he loves me, which makes me feel awesome. Whenever I show up at their house he thinks a moment, then walks up to me and tugs on my shirt, turns and runs off with a big smile shouting "Chase me", knowing full well that I will be right after him every time.

I love the both of them, and have to get my fix of playing with them every month at the most.
