Who are we to put God on trial?

This is a new song I wrote as I was reading through Romans and 1 and 2 Samuel and seeing the reality of who God is. He chooses how He will run this world and that's that. This would be bad except that He is good, and Jesus came down to set us free from the law of sin and death. He has given so much yet we think we know better than He. This is how I am the majority of the time so I wrote this song to get some thoughts out a little clearer.

Who am I to put God on trial

The grace I am seeking you say you bring
The mercy I long for I'll find it in thee
The peace I desire comes only from you
The freedom I am after is found in your truth

You choose to whom you will show your mercy
Your word is true and all of us liars
You speak your life to those who will listen
Who am I to put you on trial?

All of this time you've never changed
Good you were, good you are, and good you will be
Many things are there that I cannot understand
Mercy is who you are and the world is in your hands

You choose to whom you will show your mercy
Your word is true and all of us liars
You speak your life to those who will listen
Who am I to put you on trial?

I've put you trial, they've put you on trial
We have put you, our Savior, on trial
Forgive me my Lord, for putting you on trial
My Jesus, no longer will I put you on trial
