Psalms

Hallelujah, What a Savior I have!
Hallelujah, Jesus, you have redeemed me! Who is like you?!

In the midst of my pride, my weakness, my desires - I glorify your name
In the ever present face of my fears, doubts, & hopes unfulfilled,
you, Jesus, will be exalted in my heart, soul, & mind... in my every word & deed

You know my heart far greater than even I do
You see my longings and comfort me with the steadfast truth of your love
You have proven yourself so wonderfully faithful... your kindness is ever on display in my life
You alone have what I desire... what I truly seek... & you freely give your living water
You are light in the midst of my blindness, the darkness that would eclipse me
Your words are life to me... speak, for I long to listen

My heart yearns for you; my king, my friend, my savior, my Jesus
I am ever & always desperate for your touch
I want what you alone offer, I want you!
I choose you! I am yours! You saved me!
Worthy are you, Jesus!... of all that is within me
Be glorified in my life... yes, break me
Hallelujah, my savior lives! Yes, you are worthy!

I am yours, how humble I am before you, you saved me!
I am yours, how boldly I walk as your son, you saved me!
I am yours!!! Hallelujah!!!

Thank you, my Jesus, for your love, for your blood...

(This is a psalm I wrote after the assignment for Psalms we did a week ago... I dare you to take one of your days off and read through the entire book of Psalms throughout your day - preferably outside somewhere... just meditating on the Psalms for a day was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced)
